When your idea of true love is defined by how much someone is willing to forgive you for, instead of how much they admire the good things about you.
OOC: So in OOTP, Bella peaces out when Voldemort has to face Dumbledore. Yeah, real love and dedication there. You know where she went? To fuck Rod. To fuck Rod VIGOROUSLY, because they tag teamed Sirius. Fuck yeah Belladolphus.
I poke Aurae’s cheeks to try and make her smile, but he didn’t. She shooed my hand away and poked out her bottom lip. Exactly like her father. “I’m weaning her.” I said. “You were worse.” I joked. “You screamed and hollered.”
“Did I?” I laugh softly, and take the spoon from my own place setting, scooping up a tiny bit of the mango and holding it for Aurae to see. “Well, look. You’re big brother’s all grown up, and I like it now.” I pop the spoon into my mouth and make an exaggerated “Mmmmm,” sound as I smile, hoping to encourage her to copy-cat.
“Mhm,” I nodded in a laugh. “You drove your father to madness. It took us nearly three years to unlatch yourself from me. Not that I didn’t mind at the time, but it was getting to be a hassle with your new teeth and all.” I watched Aurae closely as she slowly opened her mouth for the mango spoon. “See, big girls and boys don’t need their mummy’s to feed them. It’s delicious, isn’t it?”
“Ouch!” I wince slightly at the thought and thank Merlin I wasn’t born the woman. “I hope for Tori’s sake our children don’t follow in my footsteps on that count. I apologize sincerely for any biting.”
“Oh darling,” I said, taking the spoon of mango and feeding it to Aurae. “It wasn’t a bother. Your father bit-” I stopped myself mid sentence and cleared my throat. “So, I hear Astoria is going to be an Aunt.”
“Is she?” I ask in surprise. I hadn’t heard anything about Daphne recently, but then, I’d been so moody lately that it wasn’t impossible that Astoria had decided to save the news until I was in better spirits. “How did that happen?”
(Sorry! I didn’t see the post. Ugh… stupid me)
I raised my eyebrows and gave Aurae another spoonful of mango. “Well darling. I believed your father and I gave you that talk when you were about twelve.” I chuckled. “I was only joking. Her and Antonin are expecting. It’s both of their first. To say the least, Daphne is not too…. pleased with it. She should be. If I was having a baby at her age, I would be jumping up and down for joy. I know I was when I found out I was pregnant with you.” I said smiling proudly.
“Yes, but you have a warm and giving nature, and Daphne… Well, she’s not a horrible person or anything, but she’s certainly very concerned with herself, her own wants and needs. I expect she’ll find a child too demanding on her time and attention. Not to mention, I bet she blows a gasket when people pay more interest in the baby,” I shake my head softly. “I wouldn’t be shocked if Antonin gets stuck with most of the parenting. I hope he’s up for it.”
I am happily wed to my pureblood wife, so, no. I won’t even entertain circumstances under which my wife and I might be separated, either, so you’re not even getting a hypothetical answer.
